After 18 years working in logistics and supply chain industry — I thought I understood products inside out. I had seen how they were made, moved, and delivered around the world.
But everything changed when I became a father.
Suddenly, my focus shifted — from how things are shipped, to how they live with us inside our homes. I started noticing what truly matters: safety, comfort, and the quiet details that make a house feel like home.
At 40, I decided to take a leap of faith — to step away from the corporate world and create something that felt meaningful. Not just another business, but a brand built on care, honesty, and thoughtful design.
It all began with one simple frustration: I couldn’t find safe, low-formaldehyde solid wood furniture for my family. Everything either looked good but came with a luxury price tag, or was affordable but made with materials I wouldn’t trust around my family.
I wanted household items and furniture that was safe, beautiful, and lasting — pieces that supported a family’s daily life, not just staged showroom displays. So I began designing, testing, and building on my own — one idea, one prototype at a time.
That’s how Degree One was born.
